Another g raid success,
This is my second g raid purchase. My other one is the first 500GB g raid they made, which is still running. The mini is nice and compact plus the ability to select the raid level is a huge plus.

|Does the Job,
I use this for heavy video capturing and editing on the road, and it’s been holding up great (depsite the abuse I put it through). The drive spins fast enough to edit HD content, and I’ve never had any issues with it.
The only problem I have with this is the port situation. My G-Drive Mini has a FW800, FW400 and a USB plug. The ideal situation would be dual FW800 ports for daisy-chaining without ruining the bus speed. Aside from that, it’s great!

|BEAST!!!,
This thing is a lifesaver. The speed and capacity of this drive allows me to edit raw footage right over the firewire 800 cable, instead of copying it to a local drive. With 1 terabyte of storage i rarely run out of space on a project. When i’m done, i move all my files over to another drive to make space for the next project. I’m very satisfied with this drive and am considering buying another one very soon. I know it’s expensive, but the speed and capacity are superb. Highly recommended.
