Question by Kevin B: Is it possible to have cable modem service from one provider and Direct TV television service?
We’re looking at ways to cut costs on our television service. Direct TV has a package of similar TV channels to what we have now that would save us about $ 40 a month. The trouble is that we are more internet users than TV watchers. I do not know anyone with Direct TV so I do not know how they connect their equipment. Do they use the coax system in the house?

Yes you can. You just need DirecTV to install their own coax, or at least make sure the coax from the cable provider to the cable modem is left alone.
