Question by Harry T: I cut my Christmas tree from the town green & now I have vermin in my house. Call city hall?
In a Christmas cost cutting effort, I cut down a nice pine tree from my town green late last night. Now today there are little chipmunks in my house and some kind of weird moths scattering all over the place. I think some of the chipmunks even got in the walls!!! Is this something city hall is responsible for? The extermination costs?

Ya, sue the bastards. I hope you didn’t get any blisters while chopping the tree…..if you did, sue them for pain and suffering too.

If you cut the tree late last night then I assume that you did not have permission and even if you did the city is probably not responsible once you take the tree off of their property.
no… were you supposed to cut down that tree? the city could sue you for property damage & theft… i dont know what a “town green” is but it sounds like community property – meaning, you didn’t have the right to even take the tree.
