One Pro (for cutting costs) is that corporate travel has LOTS of hidden costs.
    1. Employees who travel but don’t like to
    2. Insurance costs are higher if your carrier knows your employees travel a lot.
    3. Mistakes in managing expense reimbursements can cost the company good feeling points.
    4. Cost of managing travel arrangements and expenses are probably double of the actual travel costs.
    5. Time away from home base is time lost for other projects, especially if the travel time isn’t billable
    Cons(against cutting travel costs)
    1. Cards that reward you for travel expenses can make you some of the expenses back.
    2. Billable time without actually doing work (only applies if travel is billable)
    3. Some employees truly enjoy travelling
    4. Some customers still need to touch your people (as gross as that is :) ).
    5. New relationships should start with a face-to-face. Especially if your employee’s faces are attractive. We’re still animals at heart and pretty people are good to work with. I know that’s not always true, but every place I’ve ever worked, attractive people were always popular, unless they were complete jerks. Even so, they were still somewhat popular. Go figure.
